AB - Traffic accidents often resulted in drivers in emergency conditions. An emergency was a life-threatening condition that required precise, careful, fast, and accurate help. Emergency conditions must be dealt with immediate first aid in an accident. Traffic police were as violators and handled traffic accidents in the context of law enforcement, as well as guaranteeing security, safety, order, and smooth traffic on the highway. Regarding the traffic police tasks relating to the safety of road users, knowledge of P3K is very important for every member of the traffic police because it is related to the main tasks of the traffic police. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of P3K health education on the level of traffic police knowledge. This study was a pre-experimental study with pretest and posttest without control group. The populations were 80 respondents and only 23 samples were taken. Sampling in this study using the technique of probably sampling with simple random sampling. The t test results obtained the mean score of pre-test of 14.17 while the mean score of post-test of 16.48. The results indicated an increase in knowledge of Traffic Police members. Based on the t test with a criterion of p < 0,05 = 0,000 < 0,05, the result showed the difference in the mean score. Therefore, the proposed Ha was accepted. There is an effect of health education of P3K on the level of knowledge of the members of traffic police with a difference in mean score. It can be seen in the mean score of posttest which is higher than the mean score of pretest of 2.31.
