Freshman Undergraduate Nursing Student Knowledge Towards Covid-19 Protocol
Abstract
The novel corona virus (2019-nCoV) is a deadly virus throughout history in the world that can cause coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). This virus spreads to various parts of the world and is easily transmitted and kills many victims. The World Health Organization (WHO) calls on various countries to collaborate to implement specific health protocols for the prevention of COVID-19. The health protocol that is implemented will be able to prevent the transmission of COVID-19. The purpose of this study was to describe the knowledge of new students about the COVID-19 protocol. This study used a descriptive design with a survey approach. Sampling using accidental sampling with a total sample of 62 respondents conducted at STIKES Surya Global Yogyakarta in August 2020. This study used a descriptive design of data collection using a questionnaire measuring tool with an online system. The results showed that most of the respondents had good knowledge as much as 49 (79%). In conclusion, freshman undergraduate nursing student have good knowledge towards COVID-19 protocol.
