Abstract

The success of exclusive breastfeeding is influenced by several factors, one of which is the role of health workers. This study was to measure the efforts of health workers in increasing exclusive breastfeeding in the Kendal II Public Health Center. The research design used was quantitative with descriptive methods.Population of this research is mothers who have babies aged 6-12 months 111 people and a sample of 86 respondents. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire which was valid and reliable. Data analysis in this study was univariate analysis using the Kolmogorof Smirnov normality test. The results showed that the efforts of health workers in providing exclusive breastfeeding services are still lack, as much as 49 (57.0%).
