The Relationship of Workload with Stress Levels in Nurses

Abstract

One's work ability in work should be considered so as not to experience saturation in work. Nurses who have a workload exceeding the capacity of nurses will be able to cause work stress in nurses. The workload of the nurse must be adjusted to the capacity of the nurse so as to avoid the stress of working in the nurse. The purpose of this study is to find out the workload with stress levels in nurses in pulmonary hospitals dr. Ario Wirawan Salatiga. This research uses a type of quantitative research with a cross sectional approach. Samples were taken using purposive sampling techniques. The number of samples in this study was 120 respondents. Analyze research data using spearman rank test.  This research has done ethics tests of previous research. This study has obtained concemt informants from research respondents. Result of this study showed a Rho value of 0.528 with a probability of 0.000. The Rho value indicates the workload with the stress of working a nurse having a moderate relationship. The probability value indicates the accepted hypothesis that there is a significant relationship of nurse workload with work stress in nurses at Pulmonary hospital dr Ario Wirawan Salatiga. The results of this study show that there is a significant relationship of nurse workload with the stress of nursing work in Pulmonary Hospital dr Ario Wirawan Salatiga. Suggestions for further research can be added characteristic variables as mediation variables.
