Palliative care is end-of-life care. Decreased palliative patient self-care ability and poor prognosis are stressors in itself for families. The inability to accept existing stressors causes a burden on family care. Family burden is influenced by the ability of family care. Significant pressures associated with this care include physical, psychosocial and financial burdens. The aim of the literature review is to review the description of family burdens in palliative patient care. This research method is to use a literature review using the keyword family burden and palliative patients. This study used 10 literature with vulnerable years (2007-2020) related to the topic of descriptive analysis methods by determining keywords. The results showed that several key words were the palliative patient's family burden, the palliative patient's family burden assessment instrument and the management of the palliative patient's family burden. It is necessary to develop service programs that are able to increase knowledge, the ability of families to care for patients, family support, and increase family coping.
