Gadget use Relationship Towards Adolescent Social Behavior
Abstract
Gadgets are now becoming sophisticated objects with various applications that provide news media, social networking, hobbies, and even entertainment. The use of gadgets that are too long can affect the concentration of children in learning which has an impact on achievement at school. The use of gadgets also affects the behavior and lives of children in interacting with the environment. The research aimed to determine the relationship between gadget use and adolescent social behavior. This was a descriptive quantitative study with a cross-sectional research design. High school adolescent respondents were 186 samples with proportional random sampling, instruments in the form of checklists and questionnaires with data analysis using Chi-Square. 102 respondents used gadgets (54.8%), while 104 respondents (55.9%) had bad social behavior. There is a significant relationship between gadget use and social behavior among adolescents in SMA Negeri 1 Toroh (p 0.000 <0.05).
