Abstract

Program kesembuhan TB paru DOTS menekankan pentingnya pengawasan terhadap penderita TB [aru agar menelan obat secara teratur sesuai ketentuan sampai dinyatakan sembuh. Mengacu pada kondeisi tersebut diperlukan adanya penanggulangan penyakit TBC ini. Pelaksanaan strategi DOTS (Directly Observed Treatment Shortcourse) di rumah sakit merupakan salah satu upaya penting dalam penanggulangan TB. Tujuan penelitian mengetahui hubungan peran perawat dalam keberhasilan DOTS (Directly Observed Treatment Shortcourse) pada pasien TB paru. Jenis penelitian adalahkuantitatif, dengan metode cross sectional. Jumlah responden sebanyak 50 responden. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Analisis data secara univariat dan bivariat (chi square). Hasil penelitian didapatkan ada hubungan peran perawat dalam keberhasilan Directly Observed Treatment Shortcourse (DOTS) pada pasien TB paru di rumah sakit daerah Mayjend. HM. Ryacudu Kotabumi Lampung Utara dengan p-value 0,003.

THE ROLE OF NURSES IN THE SUCCESS OF THE STRATEGY DIRECTLY-OBSERVED TREATMENT SHORT - COURSE (DOTS) IN PULMONARY TUBERCULOSIS PATIENTS

ABSTRACT

The DOTS pulmonary tuberculosis recovery program emphasizes the importance of supervision of pulmonary TB sufferers in order to swallow the drug regularly according to the provisions until declared cured. Referring to these conditions, TB prevention is needed. DOTS (Directly Observed Treatment Shortcourse) strategy implementation in hospitals is one of the important efforts in TB. The purpose of the study is to determine the relationship of the nurse's role in the success of the directly-observed treatment short-course (DOTS) strategy in pulmonary TB patients. This type of research is quantitative, cross sectional design. The number of respondents was 50 respondents. Data collection using a questionnaire. Univariate and bivariate (chi quare) data analysis. The results found there is a relationship between the role of nurses in the success of the directly-observed treatment short-course (DOTS) strategy in pulmonary TB patients at the Mayjend Regional Hospital. HM. Ryacudu Kotabumi North Lampung with p-value 0.003.
