FAKTOR RESIKO INFEKSI SALURAN KEMIH AKIBAT PENGGUNAAN KATETER

Keywords: faktor resiko, infeksi saluran kemih, kateter

Abstract

RISK INFECTION RISK INFECTION FACTORS DUE TO USE OF CATERETERS

ABSTRACT

Urinary tract infection is one of the most common infections in health services mainly due to catheter placement. The occurrence of urinary tract infections is caused by a number of recipe factors. The purpose of the study is to determine the risk factors for urinary tract infections in patients with catheters using Systematic review. Systematic review is done by searching the electronic databases of CINAHL, Proquest, Google Scholar, and Science Direct from 2012 to 2018. Keywords used include catheters, urinary tract infections, risk factors. 180 aricles obtained, 53 articels reviewed and only 10 articles that match the criteria. Risk factors for urinary tract infections in patients with catheters, namely duration of catheter use, age, sex, diabetes mellitus and drainase system. Various risk factors cause urinary tract infections due to catheter installation but these infections can be prevented and reduce the number of infections so that they can determine the right intervention to prevent infection rates.
