Abstract

Basic Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care or BEmONC and Comprehensive Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care or CEmONC are effective ways to reduce maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality.The MMR in developing countries is 20 times higher,which 239/100,000 live births than the MMR,namely 12/100,000 live births.This requires proper implementation of management,namely the availability of adequate medication,equipment, infrastructure,trained staff to be competent in managing complications.This review was carried out to determine the barriers to management management in obstetric and neonatal emergency cases in developing countries.Systematic Literature Review method by searching 653 articles, appropriate articles to 112 and filtering them into 12 articles using the Critical Appraisal Skills Program(CASP)and using modified PEOS obtained 5 articles. Data sources from PubMed, ProQuest and One Search with the Health Worker Inclusion Criteria found in public health care and Hospitals, Full Free text, Articles for 2014-2018, and International journals.There are five obtacles the study is Transportation and referrals, lack of infrastructure, low quality of human resources and lack of care and skills.The implementation of obstetric and neonatal emergencies in midwifery services can be improved in quality by fulfilling good infrastructure, physical resources and human resources through skills and training.
