Penerapan Relaksasi Otot Progresif terhadap Penurunan Kecemasan Ibu Post Partum
Abstract
The postpartum period requires the mother to adapt to physical changes dramatically, so that it can affect the psychological mother, one of which occurs anxiety. Ongoing postpartum anxiety negatively affects both mother and baby. This study aims to identify the effectiveness of progressive muscle relaxation to decress postpartum anxiety. The research design was experiment with RCT (Randomized Controll Trial)approach on 48 post partum mother with taking sample by purposive sampling RSUD dr.Soehadi Prijonegoro Sragen District in Desember 2019. Instrument used Post Partum Specific Anxiety Scale (PSAS) and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI. The result showed that progressive muscle relaxation effectively decreased of postpartum maternal anxiety, as indicated by MD statistic test (95%CI = ) -10, 11, 642 and p = 0,02. Based on statistical the result at alpha 0,05 there was significant difference of postpartum mother’s anxiety in intervention group before and after given progressive muscle relaxation (p = 0,001), and showed that progressive muscle relaxation decrease postpartum mother’s anxiety about 11,237.
