Abstract

Increasing the incidence of HIV-AIDS needs to be done by strengthening health services through cadres of AIDS Concerned Citizens. Empowerment of these cadres has an important role to succeed the achievement of equal health services. Community health worker who are members of the WPA certainly have various obstacles that ultimately affect the commitment in the implementation of WPA activities. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of the commitment among community health care worker (WPA) at Genuksari Semarang. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive with cross sectional approach. A total of 57 respondents were involved in this study and were measured using a commitment questionnaire. Descriptive statistical test was used in the data processing of this study. The results obtained are 47 community health worker who have sufficient commitment, 4 good and 6 in less category.It can be conclude that the majority of health cadres have sufficient commitment in carrying out their duties as cadres.
