Evaluasi Pengetahuan Basic Life Support (BLS) pada Petugas Non Medis Setelah Mengikuti Pelatihan BLS

Abstract

Training is additional education to gain knowledge and skills in carrying out tasks and functions that can improve employee performance in hospitals. Based on the phenomenon of the need for medical or non-medical personnel who are in the vanguard, services in hospitals that provide emergency assistance must be in accordance with standard operating procedures for maintenance of emergency patients. In addition, every medical service provider must have BLS capabilities. Unconscious patients do not see who is helping and where it is, often the patient is not even aware that the helper is not a medical officer (Non-Medical) so the hospital requires medical and non-medical officer to be able to do BLS The type of research design is quantitative descriptive. This study was conducted to provide an overview of the characteristics of non-medical employees who are associated with knowledge based on training that has been followed with a sample of research is the total of non-medical employees who have attended BLS training in RSI Surabaya A.Yani as many as 33 people. Characteristics of respondents in Surabaya Islamic Hospital with age category> 45 years 39.4%, the majority are male sex 51.5%, the last education degree is 51.5%, permanent employee status is 81.8%, the majority is marital status 82%, working period 16-25 years 33.3%. The conclusion of  is that the knowledge of non-medical employees in Surabaya Islamic Hospital is stated to be good because by taking part in training, one can obtain knowledge and skills in carrying out tasks and functions.
