Peran Bekam dalam Menurunkan Skala Nyeri Leher Pasien Hipertensi

Abstract

Nyeri leher merupakan salah satu gejala yang sering terjadi pada pasien hipertensi. Nyeri akan membatasi aktivitas pasien sehingga memberikan efek negatif pada  fungsi fisik dan psikologis. Keadaan ini jika tidak segera diatasi tentunya akan menimbulkan kecemasan, depresi, gangguan tidur, serta kualitas hidup pasien. Bekam efektif menurunkan nyeri karena mampu menstimulus sistem opioid endogen  yang menyebabkan pelepasan β-endophin. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran bekam dalam menurunkan skala nyeri leher. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasy-eksperimen dengan pendekatan pre-post test control group design. Populasi penelitian ini 40 pasien hipertensi, jumlah sampel sebanyak 32 dikategorikan dalam kelompok secara acak yaitu kelompok intervensi 16 dan kontrol 16. Instrumen menggunakan alat skala nyeri Numerik Rating Scale. Analisis data menggunakan uji parametric t-Test. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa terdapat penurunan nilai pre post  yang signifikan pada kelompok intervensi dengan nilai p-value <0.001 dan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan nilai delta kelompok kontrol dan intervensi  dengan nilai p-value <0.001.  Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa bekam memiliki peran yang baik dalam menurunkan skala nyeri leher pasien hipertensi.
