Family Experience in Implementing Covid-19 Transmission Prevention
Abstract
Corona virus is a large family of viruses that cause diseases in humans and animals. Patients with Covid-19 cases in Indonesia, especially in Central Java, which continue to experience an increase indicate the possibility of Covid-19 transmission that has not been well controlled. The family is the smallest aspect that is most important to be considered both every human individual. Breaking the Covid-19 distribution chain can be done by preventing and handling Covid-19 in the family. The research aims to find out the family's experience in implementing Covid-19 prevention. Qualitative research with a phenomenological approach has been conducted on 5 participants. The sampling technique used is snowball. Research data collection is carried out with due regard to the Covid-19 preventive health protocol that has been recommended by the government. Participants were given several open-ended questions related to family experiences in implementing Covid-19 prevention. Data were analyzed by Collaizi method which was proposed in several themes. The results obtained 6 themes, namely, knowledge of Covid-19, perceived psychological impact, preparation of COVID-19 transmission prevention, implementation of COVID-19 transmission prevention, constraints on implementing COVID-19 transmission prevention, information needs. Family experience in implementing prevention of transmission of COVID-19 is in accordance with government recommendations.
