Abstract

Wilayah Indonesia terletak diantara tiga lempeng tektonik yaitu lempeng Eurasia, lempeng Pasifik, dan lempeng Hindia-Australia. Kondisi tersebut menyebabkan Indonesia rentan terhadap gempa bumi, tsunami, letusan gunung api, dan jenis-jenis bencana geologi lainnya. Pendidikan kebencanaan merupakan suatu pendidikan yang penting bagi kehidupan masyarakat, untuk membentuk kesiapsiagaan terhadap bencana yang merupakan syarat mutlak bagi pengembangan pengurangan resiko bencana. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan pengetahuan kesiapsiagaan bencana pada siswa SMA sebelum dan sesudah diberikan pembelajaran bencana.Desain penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-experimental dengan jenis pre test and post test one group. Populasi penelitian ini siswa SMK Tunas Patria Ungaran sebanyak 128 siswa dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 43 responden yang diambil dengan teknik proportional random sampling. Instrumen untuk variabel kesiapsiagaan bencana menggunakan kuisoner dari LIPI. Analisis univariat dalam bentuk distribusi frekuensi dan presentase dan uji bivariat menggunakan uji Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengetahuan sebelum diberikan pembelajaran bencana dalam kategori kurang sebanyak 93,0%, pengetahuan sesudah diberikan pembelajaran bencana dalam kategori baik sebanyak 53,5%. Ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan kesiapsiagaan bencana sebelum dan sesudah diberikan pembelajaran menggunakan audio visual pada siswa SMA Tunas Patria Ungaran dengan nilai p=0,000.

DESCRIPTION OF CHARACTERISTICS OF DISASTER PREPAREDNESS IN YOUTH

 

ABSTRACT

The region of Indonesia is located between three tectonic plates namely Eurasian plate, the Pacific plate and Australia-Indies plate. These conditions lead to Indonesia to be proned of earthquakes, tsunamies, volcanic eruptions, and other types of geological disasters. Education for disaster is important to people's lives, to make disaster preparedness which is an absolute requirement for the development of disaster risk reduction. The purpose of this to study is to find out the difference between knowledge of disaster preparedness on high school students before and after given disaster learning. The design in this research method used pre-experimental type with pre test and post test in one group. The population on this research were students of SMK Tunas Patria Ungaran as many as 128 students with research samples as many as 43 respondents taken by proportional random sampling technique. Instruments for disaster preparedness variable used questionnaire from LIPI. Univariate analysis test in the form of frequency distribution and percentage and used Wilcoxon bivariat test. The results showed student’s knowledge before the disaster learning is in less category as many as 93.0% and after given disaster learning in good category as many as 53.5%. There is significant differences between knowledge of disaster preparedness before and after given disaster learning by using audio visual on students of SMK Tunas Patria Ungaran with p value= 0.000.
